Moldovan authorities start inquiry following false messages sent on behalf of National Health Insurances Company

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has warned the citizens about the false messages sent on behalf of the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM). He urged not to open the links. At the same time, Recean said the authorities were analyzing possibility of a diversion and started an inquiry.
„As for the messages recently received by citizens, in the country and in the Diaspora, from the National Health Insurances Company, I warn you that these messages are false. I urge you not to access the links and not make any payment following these notifications,’’ PM Dorin Recean said.
The PM informed that the authorities were analyzing the possibility of a diversion. ‘’We started an internal investigation, in order to clear up the situation,’’ Recean said.
The authorities warn the citizens about a new scheme of swindle, through which certain people present themselves as employees of CNAM and ask for banking data or the payment of the debts dealing with the health insurance.
CNAM warned the citizens to be attentive to the calls received from unknown people, who threaten them, alleging that they have debs for the payment of the mandatory health insurance and who ask them for banking data or for paying the dent. In these situations, the authorities urge the people to call the police.
