Moldovan electoral body establishes number of ballot papers for polling stations from abroad

Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has established the number of ballot papers for the polling stations from abroad for the republican constitutional referendum and the elections for the office of Moldova’s president, due on 20 October 2024, according to a communique by CEC.
As many as 852,200 ballot papers will be printed in all, of which 775,350 in the Romanian language, 76,350 in the Russian language and 500 in the Gagauz language.
Under the legal provisions, CEC sends the ballot papers to the electoral bureaus of the polling stations set up outside Moldova, proceeding from the estimated number of voters established based on the information submitted by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, but not more than 5,000 ballot papers to each electoral bureau.
The ballot papers printed will be distributed to the electoral bureaus of the polling stations from abroad through the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
