PHOTO CEC starts printing ballots for diaspora

Chisinau, Oct. 3 /MOLDPRES/- Central Electoral Commission (CEC) started today the printing of ballot papers for the October 20 elections. A total of 852,200 ballot papers will be printed for each type of poll, which will be sent to polling stations abroad.
According to CEC members, out of the 852,200 ballots, 775,350 will be in Romanian, 76,350 in Russian and for one polling station in the Republic of Turkey, 500 ballots will be printed in Gagauz.
Most ballot papers will be printed for the Italian Republic - more than 241,000 ballot papers, the Federal Republic of Germany - 135,000 ballot papers and the French Republic - 94,200 ballot papers, for each type of poll.
The fewest ballots will be printed for polling stations in Japan - 300 ballots, the People's Republic of China - 400 ballots, Latvia and the United Arab Emirates - 500 ballots for each type of election.
Elections for the office of President of the Republic of Moldova will be held on October 20, 2024. On the same day, the republican constitutional referendum will also be held in which citizens will answer the question "Do you agree with the amendment of the Constitution for Moldova's accession to the European Union?".
