Those 11 Moldovans repatriated from Lebanon arrive in Chisinau

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - Those 11 citizens of Moldova who have been repatriated from Lebanon, most of whom are mothers with children, today arrived at the Chisinau International Airport. They were met by the secretary general of the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), Mihai Mitu, and the head of the Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Ester Ruiz de Azua.
According to MAE, the repatriation of those 11 citizens was possible due to joint efforts on behalf of Ukraine and IOM.
On 2 October, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi informed that 15 requests on evacuation of Moldovan citizens from Lebanon had been received. ‘’I want to thank the partners from Kiev, who provided the plane for the evacuation of citizens of Ukraine and the ones of Moldova. At the same time, I thank the International Organization for Migration, which facilitated this process, including in Poland,’’ Mihai Popsoi said.
