Moldovan president conveys congratulatory message on Teachers' Day

Chișinău, Oct 5 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu today delivered a congratulatory message to all teachers and employees in education, the presidential press service has reported.

"On your shoulders rests, quite frankly, the future of Moldova—the future doctors, engineers, economists, artists, bakers, future teachers! In order for you to nurture this future, we—the state, the community and the parents—must stand by you in the present. We must provide you with deserved incomes, the respect you are due, and all the necessary collaboration to raise a child," emphasized the head of state.

Maia Sandu also said she wishes teachers to enter the classroom with love and patience, because the love that students feel, the work discipline instilled in them, and the democratic values imparted to them will determine what kind of generation we raise.

"Dear educators, teachers, professors, librarians, directors, psycho-pedagogues, speech therapists, support staff and employees of the educational system throughout Moldova, our deepest respect!" the head of state said.
