Chișinău, October 6 /MOLDPRES/- Candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) for the presidency of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met on October 5 with several residents of the villages of Sipoteni, Călărași, and Seliște, Nisporeni. Maia Sandu spoke about the projects implemented in these localities through the European Village program, which "shows the benefits of record investments in local infrastructure,".
"In Sipoteni, Călărași, I went door-to-door talking to the residents—hard-working people who take care of one of the largest villages in Moldova. I was pleased to return to Sipoteni and see that the renovation of the Cultural Center has been completed. In the second edition of the European Village program, 10 million lei will be allocated to extend the sewage system. Călărași people are aware of the enormous responsibility that comes with our vote on October 20. Let's take care of our country!" said Maia Sandu.
On the same day, Maia Sandu visited Seliște, Nisporeni. "A picturesque village where I met hard-working people who know the direction our country needs to go. I saw the investments made in the locality in recent years—lighting, a recreation area, and a renovated park—and I want to continue these development efforts. In addition to the 64 million lei already invested in Nisporeni district, I was glad to hear that this year the construction of the aqueduct, which will provide water to the residents, will be completed. The people of Nisporeni have always been freedom-loving people who shape their own destiny. Let's not waste any more time waiting; let's decide together on October 20 what is best for our country, and for Moldova, it is good to be part of a family of peace, where countries help each other develop," said the PAS candidate.
Maia Sandu is running for her second term as president of the Republic of Moldova, being nominated and supported by PAS. Eleven candidates are registered for the presidential election. Currently, they are presenting their programs as part of the electoral campaign.
The presidential elections and the constitutional republican referendum will take place on 20 October.
