CEC made clear participation of students, pupils in elections

Chisinau, Oct 7 /MOLDPRES/- Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has clarified the participation of students and pupils eligible to vote on 20 October 2024 elections.

Thus, students and pupils entitled to vote who are not registered at home or temporary residence in the locality where they are studying can vote at any polling station open in this locality, being obliged to present their identity card and student card of the educational institution of the locality. They will be entered on the additional electoral list.

There are 16 higher education institutions in the Republic of Moldova with about 56 thousand students.

Citizens entitled to vote who live in a locality on the left bank of the Dniester will also be able to vote at one of the 30 polling stations set up by the authorities.

The presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum will be held on 20 October.
