Moldovan president holds phone conversation with Georgian counterpart

Chisinau, Oct. 7 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu today had a telephone conversation with Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, the presidential press service has reported.

During the talks, the two heads of state discussed the preparation of both countries for important democratic exercises in October: the presidential elections and the referendum on accession to the European Union in Moldova, as well as the parliamentary elections in Georgia.

Maia Sandu reiterated Moldova's strong support for the Georgian people in their struggle for democracy and aspiration to become part of the great European family.
