Moldovan sportspeople win four medals at European Youth and Junior Sambo Championships

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - The national sambo team of Moldova has won four medals at the Cadet, Youth and Junior Sambo Championships, recently held in the Larnaca city.

According to the Education and Research Ministry, during the men’s competition at the Junior’s category, Andrei Peatcovschi became world vice champion at the weight category of up to 79 kg and Stanislav Iuhnevici got the bronze medal at the weight category of 88 kg.

At the same weight category, at women’s competition, Irina Florea won a silver medal at the weight category of up to 50 kg.

Moldova also won a medal at the Youth category. Egor Neciporuc got a medal at the weight category of up to 98 kg, after he had defeated a Bulgarian sportsman in the small final.
