Wine of Moldova festival held in Bucharest

Chisinau, 14 October /MOLDPRES/ - The fourth edition of the Wine of Moldova Festival, titled, Our wine conquers the world, was held in Bucharest on 12-13 October.   

The event brought together over 50 wine producers from Moldova, providing to the public for tasting an impressive selection of wines which got prizes internationally.  

Both the Bucharest residents and the foreign ones enjoyed master-classes with experts sommeliers, recreation activities and surprises, workshops and conferences meant for specialists in the field, as well as a concert in open air given by beloved singers.  

The festival was organized by the National Office of Vine and Winer, with the support of Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund, Embassy of Moldova and the Bucharest city hall.  

The Moldovan wines are exported to more than 65 countries, accounting for 85 per cent of the total volume produced in Moldova. The wines were awarded over 6,500 medals in the last six years, over a half of which were golden ones.

Romania stays, in continuation, the main sales market for the Moldovan wines, with a share of about 15 per cent of all exports.
