Moldovan Prime Minister meets Nordic-Baltic 8 delegation

Chisinau, Oct 15 /MOLDPRES/- Support for Moldova's European integration process, areas where cooperation between countries can be stepped up, combating disinformation and propaganda were among the main issues discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and the Nordic-Baltic 8 delegation, which includes Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden, the government's communication department has reported.
The official sent a message of gratitude for the support of the eight countries in efforts to modernize Moldova, strengthen security, economic growth and social development, in the context of the implemented reforms and the advancement in the accession to the European Union.
"A resilient, democratic and prosperous Moldova will make a valuable contribution to the security and stability of the region and Europe as a whole," Recean said.
In this context, the foreign ministers emphasized that their countries will provide all necessary support to Moldova in the EU accession negotiations, as well as the importance of support for Ukraine, which is fighting to ensure peace in the region.
Nordic-Baltic 8 is a format for cooperation on topical regional and international issues, currently chaired by Sweden.
