Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean has visited the poultry factory George Standard, the first company of Moldova who got the right to export eggs to the European Union, the government’s communication department reported.
The PM said that the factory had managed to improve the production processes and to adjust the production standards to the requirements of the European market, in order to deliver poultry products of the highest quality.
„I congratulate the entire team on this important achievement. Both the consumers from our country and the European consumers will have access to qualitative Moldovan products. Together, we manage to edify Europe here, at home,’’ the prime minister said.
In the last years, the company has invested in all production processes, taking over the newest European ways of breeding chickens. The company also benefited from numerous non-refundable investments at the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA), managing to buy a photovoltaic park. At the same time, the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) provided the company with equipment for sorting eggs.
Also today, PM Dorin Recean visited the Avicola factory from the Corlateni village, northern Rascani district. It has 120,000 hens, about 100,000 eggs, which reach the shelves of the biggest chains of shops.
„We need to develop this type of business, such as the production of chicken and eggs, in order to cover the demand on the domestic market and support the native producers. Also, it is important that we stimulate the smart investments, which help enhance the productivity and consolidate the national economy,’’ the prime minister noted.
Presently, 43 units for breeding poultry work in Moldova and almost 227,000 private households, where up to 6 million poultry are bred.
