Moldovan speaker on visit to Basarabeasca district

Chisinau, Oct 16 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu paid a working visit to Basarabeasca district. He discussed with representatives of local authorities and citizens the projects implemented and investments to be made.

He said that over the last three years, more than 13 million lei has been invested in Basarabeasca district through the European Village and European Village Express programs, a stadium, a cultural center and 11 kilometers of aqueduct have been renovated.

Another 22 million lei was invested in the repair of the bridge over Cogâlnic river, which was renovated for the first time in 50 years. 

"For next year, four other big projects worth almost 15 million lei will be carried out. All these figures show that we are modernizing Moldova, locality by locality. Together we are building European Moldova at home," he said.

The official also visited a factory in the village of Sadaclia where children's clothes are sewn. The visit continued with discussions on our country's European path with residents of the villages of Sadaclia and Carabetovca.

Basarabeasca district has more than 23,000 inhabitants.
