GOVERNMENT BUILDS: More villages in Floresti district to be provided with drinking water

Chisinau, Oct 17 /MOLDPRES/- The North Regional Development Agency (ADR), Valdcongrup Ltd. and Floresti district council signed yesterday a contract for the construction of a water supply system for the villages of Temeleuți, Văscăuți, Coșernița, Cernița, Floresti district, with connection to the existing Zăluceni - Târgul Vertiujeni - Vertiujeni aqueduct in Floresti, financed by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).

According to the contract, Valdcongrup Ltd. has committed to build within six months a 8 km-long main aqueduct system to supply water from the Dniester River to the villages of Temeleuți, Văscăuți, Coșernița and Cernița in Floresti district. The project will also include the construction of a drinking water pumping station, two drinking water reservoirs and three wells.

Over 3,500 inhabitants of the villages of Temeleuți, Văscăuți, Coșernița and Cernița in Florești district will have access to the new water supply and sanitation system.

The value of this contract is about 12 million lei (600 thousand euros), with the contribution of the Floresti district council amounting to 10% of the contract value.

The current project is a continuation of two projects previously implemented in Floresti district.

As a result of the implementation of the two projects, 16 localities in Floresti district have access to drinking water.
