Chisinau, Oct 17 /MOLDPRES/- The mechanism for distributing heat consumption in residential blocks will be optimized, and tenants who have taken energy efficiency measures in their apartments will be able to achieve significant savings on their bills. The new rules are set out in the Regulation on provision and payment of utilities and other services, which was published in the Official Journal today.

One of the main changes stipulates that owners of apartments that have insulated their exterior walls will be exempted from paying for thermal energy to maintain the energy balance of the building.

The decision enters into force today, upon publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova, except for some provisions, which will enter into force on April 1, 2025.
