Families of employees of diplomatic missions of Moldova in Netherlands to be able to work

Chisinau, Oct 17 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan President Maia Sandu's decree to start negotiations on the draft agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of the Netherlands on paid work of family members supporting members of diplomatic missions or consular offices was published in the Official Journal and entered into force.
According to the document, the delegation of negotiators on behalf of our country will be headed by the head of the International Law Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Violeta Agrici. She is also empowered to initial the negotiated text of the agreement.
The agreement could cover spouses and children who are dependants of members of the diplomatic, administrative and technical staff of diplomatic missions and consular posts. They will be able to work and pay the fees provided for by the legislation of the country in which they are working.
The provisions of the agreement will be similar for Moldovan diplomats and citizens of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The Republic of Moldova has concluded similar agreements with ten countries, including the United States of America, the Republic of Poland, the Portuguese Republic, the French Republic, Canada, Romania and the Kingdom of Belgium. Other agreements in the same area are currently being negotiated with the Kingdom of Sweden, the Kingdom of India and the Kingdom of Spain.
