Meeting of Joint Control Commission: Tiraspol's representatives assure of not hindering good holding of elections

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ - The subject on ensuring the public order and free movement in the Security Zone on the election day was discussed at a meeting of the meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), held in Bender today.
According to Moldova’s Delegation to JCC, Tiraspol’s representatives promised not to allow incidents, in response to a call of the delegation, made at the previous working meeting, not to hinder the good holding of the ballot and not to block the voters’ freedom of movement.
At the same time, as regards the posts of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces, the sides agreed on their work as normal.
Also, the participants in the meeting heard the report on the situation in the Security Zone for 9-15 October and the main subjects concerning the organizational matters on the agenda was the confirming to of new Ukraine’s representative in JCC.
Thirty polling stations will be opened in 21 settlements on the right bank of Dniester and the Dubasari district for the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum, meant for the citizens with right to vote with residence in the administrative and territorial units on the left bank of Dniester and Bender municipality.
