Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ - The civil servants of Moldova will participate in two European programmes. Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov along with European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn signed an agreement in Brussel today.
The agreement will allow the participation of experts from the public institutions of Moldova in the programmes NEPT (National Experts in Professional Training), as well as SNE (Seconded National Experts). ‘’Moldova makes another important step for the modernization of the public administration. The NEPT and SNE programmes will help us build efficient institutions, with civil servants better prepared to bring their contribution to Moldova’s European agenda,’’ Cristina Gherasimov said.
Under the agreement, the Moldovan civil servants will be seconded twice per year for a period from three to five months. Within them, the civil servants will be able to learn from the first source the ways of work and the policies of the European Commission, to apply in practice their knowledge and professional experience.
Gherasimov noted that Moldova was the first of the state in process of negotiation which would benefit from these programmes.
