Pediatrics, therapy sections of central Moldova district hospital modernized

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - The pediatrics and therapy sections of the Straseni District Hospital have been modernized and inaugurated after capital renovation.   

According to the Health Ministry, the repaired sections have 46 beds: 20 – pediatrics and 26 – therapy. About 1,500 patients are annually hospitalized at these sections.

Following the renovations, the medical staff will benefit from modern conditions for work and the patients – from more qualitative and safer medical services.

Besides the renovation works, the institution in the last two years and a half has benefited from last generation equipment and medical devices: mobile X-ray apparatus, USG apparatus, electrocardiograph, automated analyzer of gas and electrolytes in blood, defibrillator, analyzer for establishing the acid-base balance, monitor for vital functions, sterilization system, oxygen production station, electric generator, operation tables and lamps, stretchers, medical beds and resuscitation trolleys. The allocations to this end will be of approximately 22 million lei.       

The money for the carrying out of works was allocated from the Health Ministry’s budget. Thus, about 13.6 million lei was earmarked for the repair, the arrangement of the adjacent area, as well as the endowment with furniture and equipment.
