Moldova's Information Technology and Cyber Security Service warns about misinformation campaign

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Information Technology and Cyber Security Service (STISC) warns the citizens about a misinformation campaign under way, distributed through platforms of instantaneous message sending, especially WhatsApp.
According to STISC, these messages try to manipulate the public opinion about the referendum and the elections.
In the context, the authorities recommend that the citizens block the sender, report the message as spam or abusive, do not distribute such messages and is informed only from official and reliable sources.
