Andrei Nastase: I voted for better future

Chisinau, Oct 20 /MOLDPRES/- Independent presidential candidate Andrei Nastase cast ballots today. He took both presidential and referendum ballots and urged citizens to vote for a better future of the country.
Nastase came to the polling station with his wife and daughter. He said he "voted for a better future, for Moldova, for its people".
"I voted for a country where we have order, justice, well-being. I voted for a president who is capable, courageous, competent, so as to fight corruption, poverty, to protect our families," said Nastase.
He also came with an appeal to voters. "I urge you all, don't stay at home, go out and vote," he said.
Moldova holds presidential elections and republican constitutional referendum on the country's accession to the European Union today. The voting procedure started at 07.00 and will end at 21.00.
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has organized 1,988 polling stations in the country for the elections, 30 of which are for citizens on the left bank of the Dniester. Abroad, voters will be able to vote at 228 polling stations. CEC printed over 7.3 million ballot papers for the presidential elections and referendum.
There are 11 candidates on the ballot paper for the presidential elections.
