Moldovan president urges citizens to go to vote

Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - The candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Maia Sandu, has thanked the citizens who had gone to vote today. The candidate urged the electors who still had not expressed their right to vote to go to polling stations. ‘’Go to vote, vote for you, for your families and for the country,’’ Maia Sandu stressed.
„Several ours are left till the closing of the polling stations. Over 1,240,000 people have already voted. I thank very much those who have already voted. I thank the young people who have mobilized and the elderly people who have managed to reach polling stations. Thanks a lot for our fellow countrymen from the Diaspora, who have stayed and still stay in queues at polling stations, who take care of Moldova through their vote,’’ Maia Sandu said.
The Moldovan president urged the citizens who had not managed to vote to go to the polling stations and exercise their right to vote. ‘’I want to address those who have not gone to the polling stations as yet. Do not stay aside; come with the entire country, with our great and nice community. Go to vote, vote for you, vote for your families and for the country,’’ Maia Sandu said.
Eleven candidates registered for the presidential elections in Moldova.
Presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum are held in Moldova. At the referendum, the citizens are to answer the question: ‘’Do you support the Constitution’s amendment for Moldova’s accession to the European Union?’’
