Candidate of Moldova's Action and Solidarity Party invites candidate of Party of Socialists to electoral debates

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - The candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), for the Moldovan president’s office, Maia Sandu, today invited the candidate of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), Alexandr Stoianoglo, to electoral debates.
At a news conference, Maia Sandu addressed his counter-candidate, Alexandr Stoianoglo.
„I respect the vote of those who gave you their confidence. This week, we must have a serious debate about how we see the future of Moldova and where we want to move. The citizens should hear us and decide,’’ Maia Sandu said.
Presidential elections and a republican constitutional referendum on Moldova’s accession to the European Union took place in Moldova on 20 October.
It is about the candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Maia Sandu, who picked up 42.39 per cent of the votes given and the candidate of the party of Socialists, Alexandr Stoianoglo, for whom 26.01 per cent of the electors voted, following the processing 99.73 per cent of the reports.
The runoff election will be held two weeks after the date of the first round of the polls, with the date set by the Central Electoral Commission.
