Auction for renting commercial rooms at Chisinau International Airport cancelled

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - The tender for the renting of commercial rooms at the Chisinau International Airport has been cancelled, after a single participant submitted the acts. The Airport’s administration made statements to this effect today.    

According to the stages of holding the tender, on 19 October, the period of submitting applications on participation in the open outcry auction is over, for the selection of a lessee for the commercial rooms with purpose of public nourishment and trade, specialized for the sterile area from the precincts of the Airport.   

„Thus, following a meeting of the auction committee today, the competent commission found out the existence of a single participant in the tender; thus, the process was cancelled. On the next period, we will come up with additional information,’’ the Airport’s administration said.  

The auction for the renting of commercial rooms from the Chisinau International Airport was resumed on 5 September. The term for submitting the acts was extended several times, as a single company submitted the acts on participation in the auction.

Earlier, there have been more failed attempts to hold the auction for the renting of the rooms at the Airport.  

The Chisinau International Airport retuned to the stage’s management in the spring of 2023.
