Moldovan president came with appeal to diaspora

Chisinau, Oct 25 /MOLDPRES/- Presidential candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) Maia Sandu appealed to diaspora citizens to mobilize even more in the runoff election.

"Dear Moldovans abroad, thank you for the extraordinary turnout at the polls! 240,548 Moldovans - from all corners of the world - came out to vote and defended peace, the country's European path and a better life for their loved ones home. You voted YES in the referendum and we won! It is a victory for generations to come - EU membership will be enshrined in the Constitution," said Maia Sandu.

She noted that "for this YES, for this victory to count, we need as many people as possible to go out and vote on 3 November."

"We have another battle to fight! Let's win against the thieves with the power of our vote! Call at home, convince your relatives to come out to vote, tell them what we can lose and let's mobilize and not let the country fall prey to thieves. We are saving Moldova," Sandu concluded.
