Carabineers deployed to KFOR mission return home

Chisinau, Oct 25 /MOLDPRES/- The first contingent of carabineers who took part in the international peacekeeping mission within Kosovo Multinational Peacekeeping Force (KFOR) has returned home.
They were congratulated during a solemn ceremony by Interior Minister Adrian Efros and Italian Ambassador to Moldova Lorenzo Tomassoni.
MAI head conveyed a message of appreciation and gratitude to the employees involved in the mission, emphasizing their efforts and sacrifices to promote peace and international security.
Tomassoni underlined the importance of the KFOR mission, praising the close cooperation between international forces and local authorities. His Excellency emphasized the essential role of these missions in support of the European integration process, stressing that stability and security are fundamental for our common future in Europe.
The first contingent participated in the international peacekeeping mission within Kosovo Multinational Peacekeeping Force (KFOR) on 20 April - 20 October 2024.
The second contingent has recently been deployed to join, on a rotational basis, the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo as part of the Multinational Peacekeeping Force (KFOR).
