CEC: Citizens can also request mobile ballot box for runoff election

Chisinau, Oct 25 /MOLDPRES/- Citizens can also request a mobile ballot box for the runoff election due to be held on November 3.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, applications submitted for the first round are not valid for the second round.

According to the legislation, citizens who for health or other reasons cannot come to the polling station can ask the electoral bureau to vote with a mobile ballot box. Requests must be made in writing by 2 p.m. on the day before the vote.

The CEC reiterates that persons who are unable to apply to vote at the polling station by themselves have the right to do so through a family member or with the help of the social worker from the local municipality. If the voter is unable to sign the application for voting at the place of residence in person, he/she may submit the application orally in person or by telephone.
