Chisinau, Oct 30 /MOLDPRES/- Residents of Moșana village, Dondușeni district have access to drinking water on tap, after the construction of about 8.2 km of aqueduct, an artesian well, a pumping station and two water towers. The works were carried out under the European Village program and the government has allocated 6.4 million lei through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
Over 500 households with more than 1,500 inhabitants, 11 community institutions - four of which are already connected to the network, including a kindergarten with more than 50 children, a secondary school with more than 120 pupils, the town hall, the family doctor's office and 11 local economic agents - have access to the new drinking water system.
Mosana mayor Rita Casico says that the project is important to solve the water supply problems of the locality, especially considering that the level of water in the wells continues to drop drastically year after year.
Also in Moșana, through the European Village Express program, a project was implemented for the construction of pedestrian paths and platforms for access to the town hall, house of culture and library. Government allocated about 350 thousand lei through the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
