Chisinau, Oct 30 /MOLDPRES/- Educational institutions in Moldova with a smaller number of students will be supported in achieving high educational standards through a financial centralizer. It will consist of 1% of the expenditure ceiling of each school. The Cabinet of Ministers today approved a decision to this effect.
According to the government's communication department, the accumulated amount will be managed at the national level by the Ministry of Education and Research, and the money will be allocated to targeted schools for needs such as repairs, purchase of transportation means and services, and providing internships.
Educational institutions with a small number of students, one-room high schools and outdated infrastructure affect the quality of studies, and the aim of the project is to streamline the way the funds are allocated and managed, as well as to ensure transparency and fairness in their allocation.
This decision shall enter into force on January 1, 2025.
