Moldovan PM's congratulatory message to president

Chisinau, Nov. 4 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean sent a congratulatory message to President Maia Sandu, who won the presidential elections, winning her second term as head of state.
"Moldova, be proud of your people! Together, we gave a powerful lesson of unity and democracy. Together, we have elected a president with whom we will continue to build European Moldova and a peaceful and prosperous future. Congratulations, Mrs. President Maia Sandu", he said.
After 99.86% of the reports had been verified, Maia Sandu won another term as President in a runoff election against Alexandr Stoianoglo, the Socialist candidate. 930,512 eligible citizens voted for Maia Sandu or 55.41% of the total number of voters. Alexandr Stoianoglo received 748,781 votes or 44.49% of the votes.
The centralized information shows that 1,690,911 voters had turned out at the polling stations by 22:00, which is more than 54%.
