Cooperation agreement between Moldova and Saudi Arabia signed by foreign ministers of two countries

Chisinau, Nov 5 /MOLDPRES/- A cooperation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud during a visit to Saudi Arabia.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Popșoi's visit is the first official visit since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Moldova and Saudi Arabia in 1996.
During the meeting, the two diplomats signed an agreement committing both countries to expand trade relations, facilitate investments and cooperate in the education, science, sports, youth and technology through the implementation of mutually beneficial bilateral projects.
They also discussed ways to increase economic exchanges between the Republic of Moldova and Saudi Arabia. The head of Moldovan diplomacy emphasized Moldova's readiness to export Moldovan products to the Saudi market, especially in the agricultural and agro-food sectors.
At the same time, Popșoi emphasized the importance of launching a direct flight between Moldova and Saudi Arabia, which will facilitate travel between the two countries.
