Over 50 COVID-19 cases registered in Moldova in last week

Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - Fifty two COVID-19 cases (of which seven ones in the Transnistrian region) were registered in Moldova in the last week, down by 22 per cent against the week before. The competent authorities recommend the vaccination against COVID-19 and influenza.
The head of the information and communication service of the National Public Health Agency (ANSP), Olesea Croitor, said that seasonal flu cases had not been recorded in this week and the number of acute infections of respiratory ways decreased by 18.8 per cent.
ANSP recommends the observance of the principal measures of protection for ensuring the public health and safety: preserving the social distance; avoiding of crowded places; observance of the rules of hands’ hygiene; respiratory hygiene; observance of the sanitary rules at the working place, with the airing of the closed spaces, wearing of masks in medical institutions and appealing to the family physician upon the appearance of the first symptoms of the COVID-19 infection.
Specialists reiterate that the vaccination against COVID-19 is the most efficient way of avoiding the serious cases of disease and death.
