Innovative education centre opened at Moldovan technical University with support of Romanian's government's Department for Relation with Moldova

Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Grigore Moisil Education and Innovative Centre, Informatics and Mathematical Modelling, today was inaugurated at the headquarters of the Moldovan Technical University (UTM). The Centre was created with the support of the Department for Relation with Moldova (DRRM) of the Romanian government.
The laboratory provides the students a platform of practical learning in the informatics field. It was endowed with more modern equipment, among which display wall LCD, interactive touch screen, high-quality system of conferences, video equipment and other procurements which contribute to the full digitalization of the university activities.
The overall budget of the project is of 33,300 euros, of which 30,000 represents the non-refundable financing asked from DRRM and 3,000 euros come from UTM.
At the event on the inauguration of the new centre, the state secretary of DRRM, Adrian Dupu, said that a solid education, based on modern technologies and common values, was the foundation of the progress and prosperity. ‘’The Centre’s goal is to create an optimal environment for the carrying out of courses, conferences and academic events. This will allow presentations and interactive practical activities, conferences and workshops in the sector of informatics and mathematics, being a modern and functional space of learning for students and teaching staff. It is a pride for us that the government of Romania, through the Department for Relation with Moldova, was able to back this project, which represents more than a sum of money; it is a commitment for the future of young people from Moldova, a promise that Romania is with you on the road towards excellence and performance. Through such projects, we want to contribute to the training and education of the future generations. We assure you that we will continue to support the initiatives which encourage the academic innovation, development and cooperation,’’ Adrian Dupu also said.
