President of Israel congratulated Maia Sandu on victory in presidential elections

Chisinau, Nov. 6 /MOLDPRES/- Israeli President Isaac Herzog congratulated Maia Sandu on her victory in the presidential elections and invited her to visit Israel.

"On behalf of the State of Israel and its citizens, I am pleased to express my warmest congratulations on the occasion of your re-election for a new term as President of the Republic of Moldova," the message reads.

The Israeli Head of State noted that Maia Sandu's victory "is a concrete demonstration that the citizens of the Republic of Moldova have confidence in her abilities".

Isaac Herzog thanked Maia Sandu for "firm support and solidarity with Israel during this difficult chapter in our nation's history".

He said he was looking forward to intensifying bilateral relations and reiterated his earlier invitation to Mrs. Sandu to visit Israel.

Maia Sandu was re-elected as President of the Republic of Moldova on 3 November.
