Moldovan national weight-lifting team wins 16 medals at U-20, U-23 European Championships

Chisinau, 6 November /MOLDPRES/ - The national weight-lifting has won six golden medals, two silver ones and eight bronze medals at the U-20 and U-23 European Championships, held in Poland.     

Ion Badanev recorded the best result at the Under-20 age category, becoming European champion at the weight-category of up to 61 kg. He won one bronze and two golden medals.      

At the same time age category, Alexandrina Ciubotaru became European vice champion at the weight category of up to 76 kg. She won one golden and two silver medals.  

For the second year in a row, Tudor Bradu (102 kg) became European champion, at the contest of sportspeople with age under 23 years. He won three golden medals.
