Voters can apply to vote by mobile ballot box

Chisinau, Nov 7 /MOLDPRES/- At the new local elections of November 17, a voter who, for health reasons or other compelling reasons, cannot come to the polling station, may request the electoral bureau to vote with a mobile ballot box.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, written requests can be submitted until 2 pm on the day before the vote. On polling day, applications will be approved by the polling station until 2 p.m. only upon presentation of a medical certificate.

On election day, the chairman of the polling station shall nominate at least two members, who shall travel with a mobile ballot box and the necessary voting materials to the place where the voter is located.

On November 17, seven localities in the country will elect mayors: the city of Causeni, Causeni district, Iliciovca commune, Floresti district, Boscana commune, Criuleni district, Arionesti village, Dondușeni district, Antonești commune, Cantemir district, Clocușna village, Ocnita district and Popeștii de Jos village, Drochia district.
