Physicians from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine participate in conference in Chisinau

Chisinau, 7 November /MOLDPRES/ - Family physicians, pediatricians and pulmonologists have participated in an international conference titled, News in pediatrics – multidisciplinary approaches in child’s medical assistance. The event is carried out by the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF).      

The event was inaugurated by USMF Rector Emil Ceban. He said that, at present, the medical system faced ever more complex challenges in the field of children’s health and physicians pediatricians have an essential role in the life of small patients and their families, providing them with support in the most difficult moments.  

„This event provides a platform of dialogue between specialists, in order to exchange knowledge and good practices, discuss present tendencies and identify innovating solutions to problems of children’s health, create solid partnerships and develop personalized strategies, adapted to the specific needs of the country. Each field from the pediatric practice is of crucial importance in ensuring a qualitative care for children – from diagnosis and treatment of diseases to the management of complex cases in personalized way,’’ the USMF rector stressed.   

Attending the event were representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), project manager Anatol Terzi, and coordinator Elena Unver, who within the health platform backed by the European Union carries out activities of education of physicians pediatricians, family physicians, in order to improve the pediatric medical assistance.   

The scientific conference was organized by the Clinic of Pulmonology of the Pediatrics Department of the Nicolae Testemitanu USMF, with the European Union’s support, within the Promotion of Confidence Building Measures programmed, implemented by UNDP Moldova.
