Moldovan parliament speaker has meeting with new Ambassador of France

Chisinau, 7 November /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today had a meeting with new Ambassador of France to Moldova Dominique Waag. The discussions were focused on the good cooperation between Moldova and France, as well as on opportunities of boosting the cooperation, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
„In the last five years, we have managed, including on parliamentary dimension, to establish a strong partnership and we want to maintain it in continuation.’’ the speaker stressed.
Also, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu referred to the priorities of the parliament’s agenda, giving assurances that the authorities would do their best to maintain the dynamic of the progress. ‘’The last elections proved that we need even more support in the fight with corruption and crime rings and we rely here on the expertise necessary,’’ the parliament speaker also said.
Igor Grosu thanked for the substantial support provided by France to Moldova in the last years, both on the European integration path and through projects on modernization in the economic, energy sectors, the ones of infrastructure and defence. An example in this respect is the new Agreement signed on the Moldova Partnership Platform, worth 25 million euros, meant for financing the state budget for fostering the transition to the green energy. ‘’It is important for us to know that we have reliable friends, with whom we should work for the good and well-being of the people,’’ the parliament speaker added.
