Chisinau, Nov 9 /MOLDPRES/- Parliament has changed the nominal composition of some standing committees. A draft decision was voted by 58 lawmakers.
Thus, MP Viorel Barda was appointed deputy chairman of the Agriculture and Food Industry Commission. The secretary of the commission will be Oleg Canatui, while MP Oleg Botnaru was appointed as a member of the agriculture and food industry commission.
Changes were also made to the nominal composition of the Social Protection, Health and Family Commission. MP Nicolae Plămădeală will be a member of this committee.
The standing committees are Parliament's working bodies that are elected for the duration of the parliamentary term, and their nominal composition is determined taking into account the proportional representation of the factions in Parliament. The committees examine draft legislative acts and legislative proposals with a view to drawing up reports or opinions, conduct parliamentary inquiries, debate and decide on other matters, including on the instructions of the President of Parliament or Vice-Presidents.
