Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - The southern Taraclia district will become greener. The Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community from Moldova (ARBOM), along with the foundation gorata.bg of Bulgaria and the District Council, has contributed to the planting of the Bulgarian Forest. Thus, 2,800 young acacia trees were planted nearby the Taraclia city on a ground hit by vegetation fires.
„Dear friends, I am quite happy that you have come here and that you are with us, on this wonderful place at the outskirts of the Taraclia city, where, due to our involvement, a wonderful forest will appear in several years – Bulgarian Forest!’’ the director of the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community from Moldova, Alexandr Borimecicov, told those who came to give a helping hand to planting the trees.
The founder of gorata.bg, Nikola Rahnev, the one who helped purchase the planting material, as well as organize these actions, was pleasantly surprised by the receptiveness of the residents from this region.
“I sincerely tell you, I was pleasantly surprised that, thousands of kilometers far from Bulgaria, I feel just as if I am in the heart of Bulgaria. You are very good, kind and pure people. I have never seen such a united community elsewhere,’’ Rahnev said.
“More people like us should exist, as we can change the world in this way. The forest is a means which emanates clean air and the people can enjoy it,’’ said Plamen Milanov, the president of the ARBOM Council, which backs any initiative that is for the benefit of the communities of Bulgarians from Moldova and not only.
Officially, in documents, the afforested areas from the Taraclia district represent six per cent; in reality, however, they are less – 3 per cent. Decision-makers from this sector say this.
„Such events must be organized as often as possible, in any location of the country. We should plant as many areas as possible, as the lack of trees, plants is already felt. We are hit by drought both in the air and at the level of the soil,’’ a chief specialist at the Agriculture Department of the Taraclia district, Ghenadii Tulus, said.
„The state’s authorities, long with such organizations as ARBOM, do their utmost in the process of remedying the problems on the environment. I.e. as many as possible trees, forests should be planted all over the country. This is an investment in the future, in the future of our children, as well as of the country,’’ a Moldovan PM, Natalia Davidovici, said.
Over 100 people from different spheres of work participated in the event on planting young acacia trees, including pupils of more education institutions from the Taraclia city and from other settlements of the district, as well as members of the ARBOM team.
The action took place on 9 November, the National Day of Greening the Region. On the same day, besides the planning of the Bulgarian Forest at the outskirts of the Taraclia city, the local residents enjoyed a pleasant surprise. The ARBOM members, along with the ones of gorata.bg, distributed for free trees of peach, cherry, pear, apricots, as well as seeds from different varieties of flowers brought from Bulgaria on the Square from the centre of the settlement.
The people were full of enthusiasm by the organization of such an event. Especially as such actions were organized for the first time ever, during which trees were distributed to be planted in the personal gardens.
„These events are quite important, as they inspire people, prompt them act and do good and significant thinks. In this way, they can see the result and the sense of their active actions. Planting a tree and bequeathing something is an important think! I feel very good here in Taraclia; what happens here touches my heart and I am very happy that we can do this together,’’ the founder of the website www.gorata.bg, Nikola Rahnev, said.
„This is an inestimable gesture for the community of Bulgarians from our country. We make a call to all organizations from Moldova, associations of business people from this country and from Bulgaria, our partners to get involved in such actions. They certainly can change our life and not only,’’ ARBOM director Alexandr Borimecicov said.
As many as 1,300 fruit trees were distributed at the action organized by ARBOM and gorata.ng. Besides, the foundation led by Nikola Rahnev organized more events of this kind in Bulgaria, aimed at planting and greening areas from this country. Thus, since 2013 till present, volunteers of gorata.bg have planted more than 3.5 million trees.
