Chisinau, Nov 13 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan schools will benefit from fair opportunities to access grants under the Education Quality Improvement Project. Members of the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance today approved several amendments to the loan agreement between our country and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The amendments to the project are aimed at equipping educational institutions with state-of-the-art laboratories, IT systems or software, as well as teacher training.
Thus, it is proposed that the procurement processes and procedures within the selected school subprojects will be handed over to the responsibility of the project management team, which will execute them according to the World Bank procurement rules.
Under the Education Quality Improvement Project, the country is benefiting from a loan amounting to 49.6 million dollars, as well as grants of 9.8 million dollars.
