Foreign Affairs Ministry says another nine Moldovans repatriated from Lebanon

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - Nine citizens of Moldova arrived at the Chisinau International Airport last night, after they had been repatriated from Lebanon.

According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), the repatriation mission was possible due to efforts by the members of the MAE crisis cell, of Moldova’s diplomatic mission from Turkey and the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The group of Moldovans, made up especially of mothers and children, arrived at the Chisinau International Airport on 12 October evening by the flight Beirut-Dubai-Chisinau. It was met by MAE and IOM representatives.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the MAE press officer, Vadim Sestopalov, said that four missions of Moldovan citizens’ evacuation from Lebanon had been organized so far, with 47 Moldovans repatriated.
