Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs Minister had a meeting with a group of Moldovan citizens who work in Japan in Tokyo today.

The Moldovan diplomacy head said that Moldova’s citizens, even if they are far away from home, stayed connected to the realities in the country and closely followed the events in their native country.

„I had a sincere discussion about their life in Japan, the transformations in Moldova, the actions necessary for a stronger economy and a more resistant state. I made sure one again that, no matter the sector where they would work, either they are students, teachers, researchers, specialists in IT or creative industries, our fellow countrymen are able to integrate, to assert themselves professionally and to win the respect of the communities from the host countries,’’ Mihai Popsoi said.

The official noted that he had discussed with the fellow countrymen the validation of the referendum on the accession to the European Union. He thanked a Moldovan citizen, Ludmila Vizdoaga, who travelled 1,300 km to vote in Tokyo and offered thanks to all Moldovans for the special civic spirit they had proved.
