Presidential elections in Romania: policemen to ensure public order at polling stations opened in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - Policemen will ensure the public order at the polling stations from Moldova, opened for the presidential elections due in Romania. The ballot will be organized on 22-24 November.
According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), the law-enforcers will be on duty, in order to provide support in terms of ensuring the public order and the guard of the polling stations.
„To ensure the good carrying out of the electoral process, policemen will monitor the escorting of vehicles involved in the transportation of ballot papers, protecting their integrity and the one of the other electoral documents,’’ IGP said.
Fifty nine polling stations will be opened in Moldova. Seventeen polling stations will be opened in the northern region, 34 – in the central one, of which 16 in Chisinau and eight polling stations - in the southern region.
The Romanian citizens from Moldova are expected to vote for the election of Romania’s president on the period 22 November (12:00-21:00), 23 and 24 November (7:00-21:00).
