Moldovan president plants trees along with hundreds of volunteers in Bacioi commune

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - The actions of planting from this autumn within the National Programme on Afforestation started today. President Maia Sandu went to the Frumusica village, Bacioi commune, Chisinau municipality, and along with hundreds of volunteers, planted acacia and ash trees, in order to extend the forests in the area, the presidential press service has reported.    

„I thank all colleagues, local residents and representatives of associations and companies, as well as all those who today, in different settlements, joined the Forest Generation, so that we can everybody enjoy a sounder future,’’ the head of state said. 

Maia Sandu urged all citizens to participate in as many as possible planting actions, which will be carried out in all regions pf the country in the next weeks: ‘’Each small tree planted is a step forward towards a cleaner planet, to a greener Moldova.’’
