Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Ungheni municipality will really become a city in flowers, as thousands of flowers will bloom in different places of the city in the next spring. This happens, after the Flower Shop Grădina cu flori (Flowers Garden), led by Andrei Struc, has made a donation of more than 10,000 tulip bulbs to the settlement.

According to the Ungheni city hall, the entrepreneur also donated 150 rose stalks and another 1,350 ones were purchased by the city hall. ‘’Both the tulip bulbs and the roses were planted in the Micul Cluj (The Small Cluj) Park, in squares, as well as in other public places,’’ the Ungheni city hall said, thanking for this nice gesture.

Andrei Struc from Ungheni grows and sells stalks of plants, in flower pots. He imports both cut plants and in flower pots from an official dealer of the Netherlands. This business is a family one, launched by his parents in 2000.

The sales market for the products of the company represents the own shops from the Ungheni city, as well as of the partners from other districts: Falesti, Glodeni, Sangerei, Balti and Chisinau.

In 2022, Andrei Struc participated in a programme of grants for entrepreneurs within the EU4Moldova: Focal Regions programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF). He got a grant worth 23,750 euros, due to which he bought complex solariums, each of 500 square metres.

He also purchased a line for producing pellets, which represents fuel for heating solariums in winter. Thanks to these investments, the production expenses were diminished and the competitiveness of the business was enhanced.

„It is best of all at home and I urge all young people to trust their own forces and their ideas. One can succeed in Moldova, with difficulty, but can succeed. Or, I want Europe at home, not only Moldova as member of the European Union,’’ Andrei Struc said.
