Moldova's Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry to have more employees

Chisinau, 21 November /MOLDPRES/ - The government on 20 November approved the extension of the limit staff of the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA), through the increase in the number of employees from 85 to 110, in order to better meet the challenges in the agricultural sector.

Among the main changes, there is the creation of new subdivisions and the reorganization of the others.

„The decision was taken in the context of the enhancement of the complexity of the tasks and of the need to efficiently manage the programmes on support meant for farmers, as well as to develop policies which are to ensure the sustainability of the agriculture. Also, the extension of MAIA’s capacities is essential, in order to enhance the capacity of attracting and using funds meant for the agriculture,’’ reads the informative note to the government’s decision.
