Domestic reforms, Moldova's European path discussed at conference of Austrian ambassadors in Eastern Europe and Turkey

Chisinau, Nov 22 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi today held talks with an Austrian delegation including representatives of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs in Vienna and Austrian ambassadors from Eastern Europe and Turkey, who are visiting Chisinau. The agenda of the meeting included domestic developments and European reforms, the regional security situation in the context of the war in Ukraine, the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, the development of economic cooperation and investment attraction.
Popșoi praised Austria's support for Moldova's European path. In this context, the deputy prime minister noted the advanced political dialog between the two countries and the multiple assistance projects carried out with the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency and the Austrian Government.
Also today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a round of bilateral consultations with the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs. The Austrian delegation was led by Gerhard Sailler, Deputy Head of the Political Section of the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
The consultations focused on efforts, progress and prospects in the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova.
In this context, MAE State Secretary Valeriu Mija held talks with Gregor Kössler, Austrian Foreign Ministry's Political Director on regional security issues, strengthening national resilience and joint efforts to counter the effects of hybrid warfare.
