Chisinau, Nov. 27 /MOLDPRES/- Businesses using online brokerage services will have more fairness and transparency in their activity. The Cabinet of Ministers today approved a draft law in this regard.
According to the government's communication department, the bill brings several advantages to companies in our country that sell services or products on Google Marketplace, Apple Appstore, Booking, Airbnb, Amazon, Ebay, Aliexpress and other platforms.
In particular, platform providers will be required to be more transparent in how they prioritize the products they display or favor their own products over other merchants. They will also be required to give at least 15 days' prior notice of changes to terms and conditions and to justify the suspension of merchants' accounts.
The law sets out rules on access to information about traders and consumers, ensuring transparency in the way platforms handle this data.
The implementation of the draft law will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Moldovan companies in the online environment, promoting a fairer and more transparent business environment.
