Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/ - Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Ludmila Catlabuga has summoned the first meeting with representatives of the competent associations from the agricultural sector. The participants in the meeting discussed the present challenges and perspectives for the development of the farming sector.
„I invite you to focus on solutions aligned with the current realities. Our goal is to have a common, clear direction and to solve the problems together,’’ Ludmila Catlabuga said. She expressed openness for cooperation and the commitment to transform the discussions into tangible actions.
„The representatives of the business environment reiterated the fact that the joint efforts of the ministry and the farmers, although significant, are not enough for ensuring a long-term development. They are of the opinion that the support must be extended and diversified within more platforms,’’ reads a press release issued by the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry.
The agriculture minister informed that, in the next weeks, along with the ministry’s team, the subjects tackled at meetings would be analyzed and concrete solutions will be sought for the suggestions coming on behalf of farmers.
Ludmila Catlabuga was appointed to the office of Agriculture and Food Industry Minister in early last week.
